The eagle-eyed folks over at RipTen have just received word from a tipster that the supposed $10 Skyrim discount voucher that comes with the new Oblivion 5th Anniversary Edition re-release will actually require you to spend $115 before they’ll let you have the money off. Here’s how it works:
1) You need to buy Oblivion 5th Anniversary Edition ($29.99).
2) You need to buy Skyrim ($59.89)
3) You need to buy the Official Skyrim Strategy Guide at the same time as Skyrim ($24.99)
4) You need to CUT OUT (!!!) the barcodes from all three products
5) You need to send all your barcodes as well as your till receipts
6) Patiently wait for a $10 Visa Prepaid Card
Not only does that sound about as simple as playing Portal 2 with a blindfold, but you actually have to buy the $25 Official Strategy Guide in order to qualify: “Hey gamers, come over here. You can save $10 by spending $25 on something you don’t want and that can be found for free on any walkthrough website on the web!”
You may be thinking, ‘Ah, well this is ok because I’ll save a load of money by getting this stuff online’. Unfortunately, they’ve got you there too. As if to rub salt in the wounds, you can’t just get Skyrim from any old discount retailer. You must spend at least $59.89 to qualify for the discount!

Bethesda have still yet to announce a European release Oblivion 5th Anniversary Edition so we’ll have to wait and see if it has the same convoluted voucher redemption system as the US release.
What do you think of this? Do you think this is as outrageous as we do, or are Bethesda entitled to run their promotion however they like?
What the fuck? This shit is dildos. I still kind of want the case but I hate this shit… Ah, fuck, my head is full of fuck…
Okay, now that all teh fuck is out of my head…. yeah wtf?
Man, That’s not right with me. The best reasons someone would buy it is:
A.) You don’t have Oblivion.
B.) You were already planning on buying the strategy Guide
C.) You absolutely love collecting cases.
(Choose one of all of the above)
Is Bethesda only out to make money?
