One of the new features of LittleBigPlanet 2 will be the grappling hook that Sackboy can use to not only hold onto objects but actually latch onto from a distance. See it in action for yourself in this new ‘Grappling Hook’ trailer:
The grappling hook is one of several new features of LittleBigPlanet 2, though the most exciting new feature is the ability to create not just levels but actual games within LittleBigPlanet 2. The first trailer that Media Molecule released suggested that this ‘game creation’ ability is the big feature that makes LittleBigPlanet 2 different from its predecessor, and it certainly looks fantastic.
Despite some initial confusion, it has been confirmed that LittleBigPlanet 2 will also feature full PlayStation Move support from launch, something that could prove to be another very interesting addition to the series. It’s not clear exactly how this will work yet but we’re guessing that the Move Navigation controller will be involved somewhere along the line.
Are you looking forward to playing LittleBigPlanet 2? Well there’s not much longer to wait as the game is due for release in November 2010, exclusively for PlayStation 3.
Is there a UK release date set for LBP 2 yet? I wasn’t going to get it until I found out about the game creation features! IT looks brilliant, I don’t reckon I’ll even bother with the single player mode, just go straight in making stuff!

I can’t be sure of a release date, Media Molecule seem to have been very slow with the UK date. But as they are a UK developer, I would expect the date to be 12th November, or possibly 19th November.
