Gothic 4: ArcaniA – Delayed on PS3

Bad news for all PS3 RPG fans out there – the PlayStation 3 version of Arcania has been delayed from October 2010 into “the first half of 2011″, citing the need for additional development time to get it up to the same quality as the PC and Xbox 360 versions.
The complex hardware of the PS3 is notoriously difficult to program for, especially for studios with no or little prior experience in PS3 programming. Given the alternatives of either not being released on Ps3 at all, or being released at a sub-standard quality, it may be annoying but it’s a sensible choice to delay the game in order to refine it.
Although this is bad news, the highly anticipated Two Worlds II is also due for release in the same month so it’ll at least give RPG fanatics time to play through that before moving onto ArcaniA.
