If you weren’t around to watch the Sony E3 Press Briefing yesterday then you might want to learn about the widely rumoured PlayStation Plus which was revealed. This is a new subscription service featuring the ability to download free full games and even trial full games for up to an hour. But that’s not the best bit, if you go to playstationplus.com you’ll see that the page states that the minimum system software version required is 3.40 – whilst we’re only on 3.30 currently.

It is still unknown when this update will hit, but the system software updates generally hit on Tuesdays, so expect one to be announced for the 22nd June or the 29th June (when PlayStation Plus releases). There are also rumours circling Sony that cross game voice chat will be included for free in this update, however Sony has yet to comment.
