- If you’re interested, the Gangster films section contains all three Godfather movies, Pulp Fiction, the original Scarface and the remake of Scarface, Carlito’s Way and its sequel Carliot’s: Way Rise to Power, The Untouchables, Sin City, Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels, Smokin’ Aces 1 & 2, Public Enemies, Rock ‘n’ Rolla and Road to Perdition.
As a early adopter of the ps3 (launch 60gb model) I was looking forward to the option of being able to download movies for rental rather than going to blockbusters but what a disapointment. When sony make it cheaper than going to the store then i might think about it, when sony have the rentals at the same time as the stores and not 3 weeks later i might think about it and when sony sort out the oh so slow download (and its not my end i get a sustained 8mb download rate on other sites) so that i can start watching the film faster than it takes me to drive 80 mile round trip to a far away vid store then maybe just maybe. come on sony give us 4 new releases (not 3 week after blockbuster) for £10 to rent or 3 movies for £10 but faster than it takes me to get to my local store and back or theres no point in the service.
I don’t rent much from the store but the few things I do rent are generally out of pure laziness! I think Sony will have to adjust their pricing at some stage because the video store simply isn’t living up to its potential for most people.
